In the interest to improve the health and Agriculture sectors in Sierra Leone, PDO in Collaboration with Njala University organized and conducted training for 320 Community Action Network (CAN) members in eight (8) districts (sixteen 16 communities) in Sierra Leone on surveillance, prevention and mitigation of outbreaks of zoonotic diseases.

The objective of the training was to build the capacity of the CAN members to effectively and efficiently perform their functions, and to also strengthen the One Health system in the country. The training will capacitate community members to take the lead in preventing and migrating outbreaks.
