The People’s Development Organization (PDO), in collaboration with Njala University, has completed a three-day community training on One Health hazards using the Community Conversation Approach (CCA).
The Training of Trainers (ToT) program brought together community leaders, health workers, and local stakeholders to strengthen their capacity to prevent and respond to health risks at the intersection of humans, animals, and the environment.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions focusing on early detection of zoonotic diseases, community-led solutions, and strategies to enhance resilience against public-health threats. By the end of the workshop, trainees were equipped to replicate the Community Conversation Approach within their own communities, fostering sustainable, locally driven health practices.
